Marketing is the activities and processes performed by a business or organization to offer, showcase, advertise, sell and deliver products or services to customers. It is all about understanding of customer needs & expectations. Marketing builds the relationship between customer and the seller.
Marketing Department
The department which is responsible for all activities related to marketing is called marketing depatment. It takes care to sustain strong relations between clients and seller. It interact with market / Customers to explore more business opportunity. Marketing department also coordinate with organization's internal departments to deliver product as per customer requirement.
Marketing managers, executives plays an important role to maintain business growth of any organization. Contract Review : Contract review is the first prime responsibility of marketing department. To ensure smooth execution of order recieved from customer, Contract review plays an important role. After receiving order from customer, marketing personnel schedule a customer review meeting with all concerned department who are direct responsible for product realization. In the meeting, all concerned department give confirmation for the smooth execution of product relaization. After getting confirmation from all concerned departments, Order Acceptance has been issued to customer along with delivery date of product.
Customer Supplied Property : Customer supplied property refers to any property provided by customer to manufactuerer which helps to manufacture product. Customer supplied property may be any product sample, Component, Equipment, Datasheet, standard etc. This can be returnable or non-returnable. Marketing department is responsible for safe conversation of these property supplied by customer.
Servicing of Products : How we deal with customer after selling product, this is very important parameter to gain trust of customer. So to maintain this, Servicing of products is critical responsibility of marketing department. This includes two types of services provided against complaints of customer recieved regarding products i.e Inhouse or Field Site. In house service includes servicing of faulty product at manufactrer's location. Field site includes servicing of faulty product at customer's location.
Customer Satisfaction : How our product is performing or where we stand in customer database, this is very important to know if any organization wants to improve product quality or to catapult business. So to analyze this factor, Customer satisfaction measurement is very important. There are various methods to measure customer satisfaction but out of them common are feedback form, through emails, over phone. By analyzing customer feedback, marketing personnel makes further marketing strategies to improve business.
